Diamond Celebration Dinner Options In Vegas October 2020
Vegas is open again! And if this past weekend is any indication, people are pretty damn excited about it. Shawn covered his experience at the opening ceremonies and his experience checking into Caesars Palace. I also shared what Caesars Rewards is doing for certain elite members while the Laurel Lounges (Diamond Lounges) remain closed yesterday. But what about the best Diamond perk out there? What are the current Diamond celebration dinner options in Vegas right now?

Current Diamond Celebration Dinner Options In Vegas
As many of you probably already know, only 3 Caesars properties are currently open. The properties open are Flamingo, Harrah’s and Ceasars Palace. That cuts a lot of the normal diamond celebration dinner options out, and many that made my top 5 list for Vegas redemptions. Not only are their limited properties open on the strip right now but only some of the restaurants are open for business right now.
Here is a list of where you can actually redeem your $100 Diamond celebration dinner cert currently:
- Caesars Palace
- Beijing Noodle No. 9
- Gordon Ramsay Hell’s Kitchen
- Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill
- Mesa Grill
- Pronto by Giada
- Restaurant Guy Savoy
- Nobu Restaurant & Lounge
- Old Homestead Steakhouse
- Starbucks
- Vanderpump Cocktail Garden
- Harrah’s
- Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse
- Fulton Street Food Hall
- Oyster Bar
- Linq
- Gordon Ramsay Fish and Chips
- Guy Fieri’s Vegas Kitchen and Bar
- Paris
- Eiffel Tower Restaurant (SEV Only)
- Gordon Ramsay Steak
- JJ’s Boulangerie
- La Ceperie
- Mon Am Gabi (SEV Only)
- Bally’s
- Burger Brasserie
- LavAzza
- NOSH
This doesn’t include the recently opened Planet Hollywood casino. Shawn said that only Gordon Ramsay Burger and Starbucks were open when he was there for opening night. So those may be the only choices available still. I will check when I am there next week and update.
Final Thoughts
Of the options, Nobu is the highest rated per Tripadvisor. Ruth’s Chris is usually pretty highly rated as well. While the Diamond celebration dinner options in Vegas are not as plentiful right now there are still a few solid choices at least.
My plan is to hold onto my cert until later on in the year. I have flights tentatively booked for October because Frontier Airlines has the worst pandemic voucher rules of pretty much any airline. So I had to book some flights and hope they work out or risk losing my voucher. Hopefully many more properties and restaurants will open by then.
Which restaurant on the list is your favorite for your $100 Diamond celebration dinner certificate?

Hi- Would you happen to know the updated list with several other CET casinos open now?
I will have Shawn grab it next time he is on the strip.
The 2019 Celebration Dinner I had was at BLT at Ballys (very good, but not great). They did stack the offer with the 20% off coupon I had for staying at Ballys.
I have heard good things about BLT – have never been though. I have wanted to check out their Sterling Brunch for a while now but I usually leave Sunday morning and never get the chance.
The TR site says this:
“If I use Tier Benefits, like the $100 Diamond Dinner, in 2020 do I get those benefits again in 2021 as part of the extension?
No. If you use your benefits in 2020 you will not have them available in 2021. If you do not use your benefits in 2020, they will be extended and available to use in 2021.
If you have earned status for 2021 then you will have a new set of benefits available, like normal.”
Do you read this as:
1) The expiration of the 2020 dinner is extended? Until when?
2) No NEW Celebration dinner for 2021 if Diamond is just from Wyndham? Since the Diamond status is extended for a year we lose out (not earning status).
I read that as the cert will be extended if you don’t use it. My guess is to 1/31/2022.
You would still get the celebration dinner in 2021 if you rematch since they say “If you have earned status for 2021 then you will have a new set of benefits available, like normal.” Even if it is a match it is still “earned”.
That is my take on it at least.
But will really there be a “rematch” since the current Diamond status has been extended to 1/31/22 already? I guess we’ll see. Thanks.
I think so since it will be a new earn year. That is how it has worked in the past when I had status already for the year (earned from gambling) and then did the match. It triggered new perks for the new year since it had been earned again.
This is my 1st year having this matched certificate. How do I get the certificate? Is it a call ahead? Thanks in advance
It should be loaded to your account. Just go to the rewards desk when you get there to print a card if you need it and they can make sure the offer is on your account. Then you have the server swipe your card and use the dinner at the restaurant.
Caesars Rewards desk can let you know which restaurants can just swipe the card and which (there were still a few at least last October) that still need a printed certificate.
In wow they case let the server know when you are seated that you plan to use your Diamond $100 dinner credit to avoid any surprises.
Sorry “in either case” to start 2nd paragraph above. Phone had typo and spell check got me which I didn’t see before sending.
Data Point. Used mine on Saturday at Mesa so it is open and accepts it.
Interesting – not sure why the rewards desk would have said otherwise.
Hell’s Kitchen is one of the best places I’ve eaten on
LV that’s on the strip with certificate and view is amazing! After eating at Nobu with $100certificate,
I was still hungry after 3 hours later since it’s so over priced.
I have heard similar sentiments on Nobu before.
We used it at Hell’s Kitchen in early March and had one of the best fish and chips ever. Going back in the end of June and September too and we’ll use my wife’s cert. Frontier had $20 roundtrip promo and I booked two EWR LAS trips for the two of us for $80.
Great tip for you. If you go to Gordon Ramsey’s fish n chips place on the Link Promenade you can get the same thing for half the price. Takeout only but $15-$20 versus $30+. One of my favorite places to eat in Vegas 🙂
I’ve used it in the past at Old Homestead and would highly recommend that restaurant (much better than Ruth’s Chris at Harrahs IMHO.
I have also used it at Mesa Grill. Are they not open yet? I assume they are still on the list, as are practically all the Caesars Palace restaurants, where you can use the celebration dinner credit.
Also to answer one of the posts above – at least in LV Caesars has largely done away w the certificates and you can just have the restaurant apply the credit based on your Diamond or Seven Stars status. That is what I did last fall at Mesa Grill and so much easier than getting a certificate printed at the Caesars Reward desk then worrying about losing or forgetting it.
I am not sure if it is not open yet or just not accepting certs yet but it is not on the approved list as of yet. I am sure it will be at some point soon though.
Thanks for the update. I forget. Once you get the $100 voucher, don’t you have a certain time to use it? Or if you pick it up, can you wait to use it that long? I thought there was some limited time frame to use it?
Or are you saying, you will wait to stop by the ticket booth to pick it up until your next trip?
You have to use it by January 31st of the year after you earn it so 1/31/21 this year’s certs expire. They are pretty much all on your players card now so you just have them swipe your card to use it now. If you do have to print off a paper cert at a non Vegas location etc. then if you lose that cert you are out of luck. So best not to print it till right before you use it.
Wow, not much at Harrahs huh? I like Old Homestead for their bar as the bartenders are great over there. If I went now, that is where I would use my $100 Celebration Dinner along with my RCs. In the past, I used my Celebration Dinner at Bacchanal as there was always something for the entire family but I’m not sure how things will be once they reopen. Supposedly, Wynn is opening their buffet in the next month or so, so I’m guessing Caesars will open Bacchanal as well.
Yeah buffets could be a whole different experience in the short term. It will be interesting to see how that plays out.
