Kohl’s $10 off for Discover Cardholders & How This Deal Netted Me a 68% Discount! ($50 Item for $16)

Discover Kohl’s Deal

Through July 31, 2016 Discover Deals has a $10 code good for purchases at Kohl’s either in-store or online. This code works the same as Kohl’s Cash and takes $10 off of the top, but it gets even better.

  • Multiple codes can be used in the same transaction.
  • You don’t need to pay with a Discover card to get the discount.
  • Ebates is offering 6% cashback.
  • You can get free shipping if you pay with a Kohl’s Card.
  • The minimum purchase price is not enforced.

My Purchase $50 Item for $16

My wife and I have three Discover cards between us. To get our three codes I logged into each account and went to Discover Deals. I then searched for Kohl’s and found this offer:

After clicking through, I was given a barcode number and a PIN. I notated the barcode number and PIN for each account and then went to Ebates to start my purchase. After finding my $49.99 item, I went to my cart, applied the code OUTDOORS, noticed the FST1APR16 free shipping code was applied and then I entered in my 3 barcode numbers and PINs as Kohl’s Cash.

Suddenly my $49.99 purchase was down to just $15.99 plus tax. I applied the amount to my Kohl’s card to get free shipping. I could have used a small Kohl’s gift card purchased at a discount to cover most of the $17.29 and still kept free shipping as long as a portion was paid on the Kohl’s charge, but with such a small amount I opted not to do it. After adding in the 6% cashback, my final cost was $16.33!

Conclusion

I know many of you have multiple Discover cards in your household, so this could be a nice way to get a very big discount (as big as 100%) on an item. In this case I am happy with my purchase and the overall discount that I received. Thanks Discover!

    • There’s both Kohl’s and Kohl’s online and only one of them has the $10 but it works either in store or online (contrary to intuition)
