If you follow the points & miles community, then surely you have seen the kickstarter to send Ben from One Mile At A Time on a flight in one of Etihad’s new residences. Â Well today, in an effort to draw attention to a more serious matter, Drew at Travel Is Free started a campaign of his own.
Essentially, he is trying to raise money to help his wife’s sister and her husband adopt a special needs child from Ukraine. Â If you have never seen his blog, then I highly recommend it. Â Drew is not only one of the best miles & points bloggers, but he is a really nice guy. Â I have chatted with him a few times in the past and he has always been more than helpful.
While neither of these projects is mutually exclusive, I wanted to highlight Drew’s project since Ben’s has received so much attention. Â Kickstarter doesn’t allow charity and charges high fees, so Drew is running the campaign himself. Â You can find out all of the details about the project, how to donate and the perks he is offering at Travel Is Free. Â I think this is a great cause and it still baffles me how expensive it is to adopt a child.
