Tech Giant Google Rolls Out Google Hotels

Google Flights is already a great told for many people. You can use it to find cheapest fares and dates for travel on many airlines. Now Google is also aiming to becomes the destination for cheap hotel bookings. The tech giant recently released Google Hotels. The new service now also provides direct hotel bookings, instead of links for booking through third-party providers.

Now, just two weeks after launch, Google Hotels has some new features. Google has expanded into alternative accommodations, giving users the option to book full apartments, cabins, villas, and houses. The search feature has begun globally for mobile and will extend to desktop within several months.

The tech giant has partnered with a handful of booking sites, including Expedia, HomeAway, Hotels.com, RedAwning, TripAdvisor, and VRBO, and is already offering rentals in destinations all over the world.

You can narrow your search with price and amenity filters, plus browse photos, read reviews and see rates and availability of the vacation rental property. When you’re ready to book, click “Book” to complete your transaction on the travel partner’s page.

The hotel search also provides price graphs that show you how the price changes for a given hotel during the year, letting you pick a date where you can get the best deal. It could be a great starting point for hotel booking, at least for price comparisons.
