Hyatt Authorized User Bonus

Hyatt Authorized User Bonus

If you have a World of Hyatt Credit Card you may be eligible to earn up to 5,000 bonus Hyatt points with an authorized user bonus. There seems to be two different types of offers going out. Let’s take a look at the details, and some potential pitfalls with the offer.

Offer Details

Here are the Hyatt authorized user bonus offer details:

  • Earn 5,000 Bonus Points after adding an authorized user to your card by 10/18/26.
  • (Or) Earn 2,500 Bonus Points after adding an authorized user to your card by 10/18/26.

There is no direct link to see if you have the offer. You will have to check your emails for the subject line “2,500 / 5,000 World of Hyatt Bonus Points Are Waiting” to see if you are targeted.

Who This May Not Make Sense For

The one downside to adding someone as an authorized user on a personal card is that it can count against their Chase 5/24 count. If they are near that 5 card cap in the last 24 months, are trying to get under or are just concerned about their count overall – then this isn’t for them. You are better off adding someone that is well beyond 5/24, or who doesn’t really apply for credit cares / cares about any of this.

Hyatt Authorized User Bonus: Final Thoughts

While this is an easy 2,500 / 5,000 point bonus, especially with no spend required, there are potential downsides. Just be sure that you are aware of what it could cost the authorized user before taking Chase up on the offer. Otherwise, you might as well rack up enough points for a category one hotel stay (are there any left?!) for doing next to nothing.
