Ink Welcome Offer Matches

Chase Is Being Extremely Generous With Ink Welcome Offer Matches

I wanted to put together a quick follow up post to last week’s where I was the first to share that Chase was matching Ink welcome offers to the new higher offers. They were doing this even though the higher 90K offers are only available in branch right now.

There are a couple of interesting things here. The Chase Sapphire Reserve offer went up publicly to 80,000 Ultimate Rewards points, best it has been in 5 years, and they are matching the offer for some new card holders. But, they are only going back 30 days on the matches, even though this is their current public offer.

For the Chase Ink Cash and Ink Unlimited cards they are going back much further.  Even though these offers are being matched to non fully public offers. I have several data points going as far back as March. That is insanely generous. So if you grabbed a Chase Ink Cash or Ink Unlimited card at any point this calendar year I would give it a try. All they can do is say no, but you will likely be pleasantly surprised.

If you hate the hassle of in branch sign ups, like I do, then it could be worth signing up and asking for a match. There is a chance they turn off the spigot though. Although, I imagine that the public offer online will jump up at some point too since they are matching to it already.
