Mile Double Dip: Link Lyft with Frequent Flyer Programs

Posting as a reminder to link your programs especially if you’re planning on using the current Amex offer for rides. Last week I took Lyft to the airport and was pleasantly surprised when I got notifications that I’d earned miles in both Delta and Jetblue’s programs. I generally take Uber but opted for Lyft instead thanks to a recent Amex offer on Lyft rides. This is a great reminder for all of us to periodically check the partners section of our favorite apps and loyalty programs. You can also earn Fuel points on Lyft Rides.

Earning Details

  • Earn 30 TrueBlue points on all airport rides
  • Earn 1 Delta Skymile on all Lyft rides and 2 Skymiles on all rides to and from the airport

Get Started

To start earning Delta SkyMiles with Lyft you need to link SkyMiles and Lyft accounts first, and then request a ride. All SkyMiles members are eligible. Customers who are not already enrolled in the SkyMiles program can sign up for free through the partner page or delta.com/enroll to become eligible. To download the Lyft app, visit lyft.com/app-sms.

Visit the TrueBlue/ Lyft promo page for instructions to start earning TrueBlue points on all of your airport rides.

Conclusion

This was a nice stack for me, I spent $75 and got a $15 credit from Amex. Earned 60 Trueblue points and 150 Skymiles. Obviously you’re not going to get rich from this opportunity but every little mile helps.

  1. This is great! You can also link your Fuel Rewards account to Lyft. For some reason though, linking my True Blue account gives me an error.

  2. Nice post. Thanks for the info and the signup links. I never fly Delta but I’m always up for a few extra skypesos. Who knows, maybe they’ll be worth something someday!
