If you are into both travel and data then this is for you. From the average length of stay for foreign visitors to the average number of states visited, there is some really interesting stuff here. Of course, I’m still not sure I believe Houston is the 12th most popular city for international visitors.

  • Groupon has returned with another 20% off Local deals coupon good through tomorrow. Simply use the code LOCAL20 to get the discount. It looks like BeFrugal and Ebates are paying 6%, although new customers can get 10% at other portals.
  • Copa Airlines is offering up to 4,000 free miles for joining their new frequent flyer program and completing your profile. Copa is a member of the Star Alliance and hopefully they will join up with a bank or three for points transfers. You can sign up here and find more info over at Frequent Miler.
  • Staples is apparently sending out surprise awards to some Staples Rewards members. People on Slickdeals have reported getting $10, $15 & more. Make sure to check your email to see if you have been targeted.

Gift Card Wiki Update

After writing about the new gift card comparison site Gift Card Wiki the other day, I heard from the person who owns the site. While he didn’t go into too much detail, it is clear that he is working hard to improve the site. He did specifically say he is working on improving the accuracy of gift card sale rates. This is great news since the design elements are there and with the site being relatively new, I have high hopes that it will improve quickly.
