This week there was a lot of drama at the Nevada State Capitol as time ran out on the 120 day legislative session. This forced an emergency session to consider the A’s ballpark as opposition to public financing seemingly grows. Will a deal get done or will the Athletics just run back to Oakland after all of this drama?

In other news Formula1 has been tearing up Vegas roads for months, but now is requesting the county pays for part of it. We also discuss a sewage leak in Lake Mead, a UFO sighting in Vegas, a new hotel approved near Allegiant Stadium and Binion’s bringing back their very popular million dollar display.

  1. We need our own analysis of the deal (increased gaming revenue, traffic issues, etc) and if it is close I would punt (yes, mixing sports metaphors). There are other sports we can look to for increased tourist revenue such as the NBA and the A’s aren’t the cream of the crop for MLB by any stretch.
