Conclusion
The new cards come with a decent bonus and benefits, but not enough to justify a $250 annual fee long terms. They should be valuable for the first year at least, especially if you can get two Free Night Awards while paying only one annual fee.

These are the first Marriott cards with a spend threshold on the FNA. Hopefully the trend does not go to the $100 cards!
What would be the path to 2 free nights paying 1 annual fee? TIA. “They should be valuable for the first year at least, especially if you can get two Free Night Awards while paying only one annual fee.”
It’s calendar year based, so if you can do the $15k in the first calendar year, then another $15k after Jan 1, you could earn 2 on a single annual fee.
Appreciated, missed that; I’m starting to feel capped out on spending bonus type “benefits.”
