15% Off Sears Gift Cards

Last week Gift Card Mall was offering 10% off Sears gift cards on eBay. That put the price of $100 gift cards at $90 and $200 gift cards at $200. Today they have lowered the price even more.
Right now, they are selling $100 Sears gift cards for $85 and $200 gift cards for $170. That is 15% off of face value.
I wrote a couple of weeks ago how some people have had success buying $200 Visa gift cards with Sears gift cards. If you are able to do that, you will pay $176.95 for $200.
You can find the gift cards here. eBay does pay cash back through a few of the portals. Currently the most you can receive is an additional 1.5%.
Analysis
I think this is a great deal if you can use Sears gift cards to purchase Visa/MC or merchant gift cards at your local store. (Only buy merchant cards if you know that you have a use for them) If you use a 2x card like the Arrival Plus (my review) then you can make even more.
There is also another option if you are looking to just get free spend. I wouldn’t recommend it, however you can sell the gift cards back to giftcards.com for 85% of face value, or what you paid for them.
Conclusion
While this deal isn’t for everyone, it is a decent way to manufacture spend at a negative cost. As always I suggest starting slow to make sure this deal works for you.

I have not seen ebay gift cards anywhere – any clues? When you buy a $206.95 visa gift card with a $200 sears gift card, what’s the best way to cover the balance?
I have also seen Ebay gift cards lately at a few places… 5x or 6% cash back…
