SoFi Credit Card Adds 10% Boost
SoFi has announced an improvement to its SoFi Credit Card while also aiming to promote its SoFi Checking & Savings account.
The SoFi Credit Card already earns 2% cash back rewards on all purchases, which are redeemable as statement credit or towards saving, investing, or paying down eligible SoFi debt.
Now SoFi has launched a new feature that gives members a 10% boost on cash back rewards earned for credit card purchases, if they have direct deposit through SoFi Checking. That means unlimited 2.2% cash back rewards on all purchases, and even 3.3% on trips booked through SoFi Travel. The 10% boost does not expire and has no limits on how much you can earn from the benefit.
In order to earn this boost, you need to have a SoFi Credit Card and set up direct deposit through SoFi Checking & Savings. Once your first paycheck arrives through direct deposit, you will automatically start earning unlimited 2.2% cash back rewards on all your purchases. As long as you maintain your direct deposit through SoFi Checking & Savings and continue to use the SoFi Credit Card, you will also continue to earn the reward boost.
This new benefit is not just for new cardholders. Existing credit card members with direct deposit into their SoFi Checking and Savings account will also begin automatically receiving the 10% boost.
If you do not have a SoFi Checking and Savings account, you can also earn a bonus of up to $500. Currently there’s no signup bonus for the SoFi Credit Card.
