SPG Amex 35K Bonus Offers 2017
Starwood has been purchased by Marriott and that means that SPG as a loyalty program has been put on notice. Sometime early next year Marriott is supposed to launch a new combined program for the Starwood, Marriott and Ritz Carlton brands. This means that the SPG Amex as we know it probably will be going away.
This also means that the SPG cards are worth considering before they disappear. The normal offer on these cards is 25K, but as of now there is a way to get a 35K bonus. Let’s take a look!

Analysis
Both of these offers match the best we have ever seen on these cards, although the spend requirements are higher under this new split bonus scheme. Despite the spend, both of these cards are worth jumping on if you have never had them before given the overall value of Starpoints and the likelihood (but not guarantee) that these cards will disappear in 2018.
While it is possible to get both of these cards in the same day, if you had to pick one, I would go for the business version. Yes, you will have a higher spend requirement, but in return you get Sheraton lounge access plus better internet. The SPG Business card also was targeted for several great Amex Offers including the amazing Sam’s Club deal.

Conclusion
If you have been looking at these cards and if it fits within your overall plans, now may be the time to get the SPG Amex cards. I suspect many of you have already had these cards and thus aren’t eligible for the bonuses, but if you are take a look!

Just be sure to not do any MS towards earning these bonuses. As that Reddit thread has shown, Amex is willing to dig back into your history in IRS fashion to yank back any bonuses you’ve ever MS’ed your way towards earning. Granted, it took a leaked Plat link to catch their eye, but with their RAT team on the prowl I just hope that people don’t pull the trigger on any amex card going forward without enough organic spend to satisfy the bonus requirements.
[…] Amex SPG cards are offering a highest ever bonus or 35,000 Starpoints and you can now generate your own referrals for these bonuses. You can earn 5,000 SPG referral […]
Close, but not the highest SPG AMEX bonus. In late June/early July 2010 they offered 40,000 points on the personal card. It was also NOT a targeted offer, but was a general offer. They later tried giving us 25,000, but the screenshot that I took forced them to pay up the full 40,000. This offer has never returned since then, but it was a legitimate offer.
What do you think is the more rare offer: SPG Amex 35,000 or United Chase 70,000?
Any data points for amex matching this offer if you have already received a card and are still in the first 3 months and in the process of hitting initial spend.
