U.S. Mint Coin Deal – Generate Spend
One of the cooler ways I have generated spend (and a profit) the past few years is through various coin deals. Specifically, the U.S. Mint will release popular coins from time to time which can then be sold for potentially a profit plus the miles/points earned on the purchase. Sometimes these coin deals are small, but I have word that a sizeable one is coming up. Check out my guide to these types of deals linked below for more info on how things work.
Guide to U.S. Mint Buyers Club Coin Deals: Points & Profit, But Use Caution
New Coin Deal Coming
I just got word that a Palladium Coin will be released by the U.S. Mint on Thursday September 24 at 12:00 PM Eastern. The good deal about this one is that it will cost approximately $3,000! The exact price will be set tomorrow, but the amount of spend should be pretty nice!
Some Buyers Clubs are paying a small commission for the coin and others may pay more as well. We’ll have a follow up post before the coin goes live with more information we have regarding its value and selling it, but definitely pay attention, because $3K spend is $3K spend and I think you may even be able to make a few bucks.
U.S. Mint Coin Deal – Generate Spend – Bottom Line
A new U.S. Mint coin deal is coming and it will help you generate a very nice amount of spend. We’ll have more details including the exact price and Buyers Club options before it goes live, but for now set your calendar for Thursday!

Actually, it’s capped at $75, so Amex Blue for Biz or Freedom Unlimited is better.
Do you think that USMint.gov would get the 4% back with Chase Amazon Prime card (targetted bonus)?
I generally used my BofA Premium Rewards card to get 2.625% at USMint.gov in the past.

Go to kitco.com and you will see the price of gold, silver, platinum, platinum, rhodium, etc.
That’s for bullion value. There can be a numismatic value also on top of the bullion value.
Hope that helps.
Thanks a lot NOT Shawn for ruining this ! Some of us were hoping it might fly under the bloggers radar!
Don’t waste your time; these sell out almost instantly.
I was able to purchase the coin that went live last November. I bought it for $80 and sold for $1350. I’m all in on this one! Thanks for the heads up.
Is this like bitcoin? : ) What establishes the value of these coins?
Why not just buy the 2019 Palladium Coin? Its $3000…

I don’t know a lot about coins, but the play here is to have someone who is buying it from you so you avoid the risk. If you knew coins and knew which ones would be profitable, etc. then that is an entirely different conversation.
Because PFS won’t pay you $50 for that one.
Last year the mint made 30,000, and only sold 17,000. This year the mint is only making 10,000. It will sell out. That’s why the buyers clubs are trying to sign up people.
