Citi is offering a big bonus for new business checking accounts. The maximum bonus that you can receive from this offer is $2,000, but it requires a deposit of $200,000 or more. There are smaller bonuses as well, which could be easier to do for most people.

The offer is available in branch only, so it not available nationwide. But if you don’t have a branch nearby, or just want some easier offers that don’t require a large deposit, check out our list of best bonuses. Now let’s get into the details.

  1. Not sure if this is even a good one to bring up. Say you deposit 200,000 in a new citibank account for 2 plus months, and they give you a pittance of interest (and $1500). You could have that in AMEX SAVINGS OR MARCUS and get $1250 for that same 2 months. Is it worth the hassle? Keeping it at AMEX opens a lot of Amex doors and offers, but what will Citibank do for you? Nothing, as far as I can see.

    • With rising interest rates, these bonuses are not as good as they used to be. With $200,000, you would get a $2,000 bonus though. That’s better interest than you can get anywhere else for 2 months, but as you mentioned, it’s not not a huge bump with current rates.
