American Express Delta Cards Increased Offers Ending

American Express Delta Cards Increased Offers Ending

Today is the final day for the increased offers on the Delta co-branded American Express cards.  The increased offers for the personal & business versions of the Delta Gold, and Delta Platinum cards match their all time high.  The offer is supposed to end at some point today so if you were interested in these offers, or growing your Skymiles stash, now is the time.

American Express Gold Delta Skymiles Card

Both the personal and business versions of this card have an increased offer of 60,000 Skymiles and $50 in credit after a Delta purchase.  The annual fee is waived the first year.  Here are the details:

  • 50,000 miles after $2,000 in spend within the first 3 months
  • 10,000 additional miles after $1,000 in spend within the first 6 months
  • $95 annual fee waived the first year
  • $50 statement credit after ANY Delta purchase (even $2 headphones)

The cardmember perks for each card are as follows:

  • Free checked bag
  • Priority Boarding

This matches the highest public offer in the history of both cards.  I signed up for the business version a few days ago to pad my Skymiles stash.  They are both great offers worth $750 in miles plus $50 in credit. Remember that American Express has a once per lifetime rule.

  • Business Gold Delta Amex

American Express Platinum Delta Skymiles Card

Both the personal and business versions of this card have an increased offer of 70,000 Skymiles and $100 in credit after a Delta purchase.  The annual fee is $195 per year.  Here are the details:

  • 70,000 bonus miles after you spend $4,000 in purchases within your first 3 months
  • 10,000 MQMs after meeting the minimum spend
  • $195 annual fee NOT waived the first year
  • $100 statement credit after ANY Delta purchase (even $2 headphones)

The cardmember perks for each card are as follows:

  • Free checked bag
  • Priority Boarding
  • Receive a Domestic Main Cabin round-trip companion certificate each year upon renewal of your Card
  • Make $25,000 in purchases on the Card and earn 10,000 bonus miles and 10,000 MQMs each calendar year.  You can earn the bonus 2 times per year.

This matches the highest public offer in the history of both cards.  The companion certificate makes these cards a potential long term keeper depending on what kind of value you are able to get out of it.  It is essentially buying a second ticket for the $195 annual fee on one of your upcoming flights.  The bonus is worth $875 in miles and $100 in credit for a $195 annual fee.  I would suggest getting the gold cards first if you have not signed up for them in the past, unless you need the MQMs. Both of these cards also fall under American Express’ once per lifetime rule.

  • Personal Platinum Delta Amex
  • Business Platinum Delta Amex

Conclusion

Being a Delta hub captive I love these bonuses.  I have signed up for 3 of the 4 cards, all except the business platinum version.  These offers have been around once or twice before but there is no telling when, or if, they will come around again.

If you were in need of boosting your Skymiles stash you still have a few hours to take advantage of these offers.  Thank you in advance if you use any of our links!
