American Express Targeted Offers Incognito

American Express Targeted Offers Incognito

American Express has been aggressive at targeted marketing over the past year or so. I have covered targeted offers that come via mail and when you login, but there is another way to get increased bonuses as well. Sometimes when you visit their website, they will simply show you a higher offer. Currently there are increased offers on 7 different cards. (Thanks to a commenter on Frequent Miler for the tip.)

Let’s take a look at the offers and then I’ll show you how to get them to show up.

Premier Rewards Gold Card from American Express

American Express Targeted Offers Incognito

The Offer: Get 50,000 Points after you spend $2,000 on purchases on your new card in your first 3 months.

Analysis: This is double the standard 25K public offer and equals the highest offer we have seen on this card.

Blue Cash Preferred® Card from American Express

American Express Targeted Offers Incognito

The Offer: $250 back after you spend $1,000 in purchases on the card in the first 3 months. Plus, apply by 6/15/2016 to get 10% back when you use the card at US Wireless Telephone Service Providers in 2016, up to $200.

Analysis: This is $100 more than the standard public offer. The normal up front bonus is $150 and with this offer it is $250. $250 equals the best up front bonus we have seen on this card lately.

Blue Cash Everyday® Card from American Express

American Express Targeted Offers Incognito

The Offer: $150 back after you spend $500 in purchases on the card in the first 3 months. Plus, apply by 6/15/2016 to get 10% back when you use the card at US Wireless Telephone Service Providers in 2016, up to $200.

Analysis: This is $50 better than the public offer which gives a $100 up front bonus. The up front bonus on this card has been as high as $250 within the past year.

Amex EveryDay® Credit Card

American Express Targeted Offers Incognito

The Offer: Get 15,000 Points after you spend $1,000 on purchases on your new card in your first 3 months.

Analysis: This offer is 5K more than the standard 10K bonus, however the bonus on this card has gone as high as 25K recently.

Amex EveryDay® Preferred Credit Card

American Express Targeted Offers Incognito

The Offer: Get 30,000 points after you spend $2,000 on purchases on your new card in your first 3 months.

American Express® Green Card

American Express Targeted Offers Incognito

The Offer: Get 25,000 points after you spend $1,000 on purchases on your new card in your first 3 months.

Analysis: This card doesn’t currently have a public bonus, but the bonus was 25K up until recently.

American Express® Gold Card

American Express Targeted Offers Incognito

The Offer: Get 25,000 points after you spend $1,000 on purchases on your new card in your first 3 months.

Analysis: This card doesn’t currently have a public bonus, but the bonus was 25K up until recently.

How to Get the Offers to Show

To find the offers you will want to use private/incognito mode on your browser of choice. After doing that:

If you are having problems getting the offers to show try using a different browser. If that still doesn’t work, perhaps try from a different device and/or IP address. At first I was unable to get the first six offers to show, but using a different IP through my VPN did the trick. I also struggled to get the Gold Card offer to show up in Chrome or Firefox, but it did show up in Internet Explorer.

For the record, I was able to pull up and verify each of these offers today 5/24/2016.

Conclusion

If you are looking to apply for any of the seven cards mentioned in this post, then make sure to get the best offer available. In many cases these increased offers equal the best we have seen and in some cases they represent a bonus on a card that isn’t currently offering one. It can take a little effort to get them to show, but for most people it shouldn’t take too long.

  1. Thanks a lot. I used INCOGNITO mode and i was able to get the offer $250 CB after spending $1000 in three months on Blue Cash Everyday card. Am planning to buy Samsung S7 phone. If i buy it from AT&T, i would get 10% CB on any purchases with US telecom provides. So once i make $700 purchase on the phone + some other $300 purchases, i would get 250+70$ CB. Thats like getting my S7 for just 380$.

  2. Thanks Shawn! Got wife approved for BCP, while mine went pending. Fingers crossed on mine being approved soon. I can foresee multiple trips for Reloadits to the local grocery store. Especially since my Tmobile card is done in roughly a month!

  3. Tried both incognito and new browser. Yet it did not show any bonus offer for the Amex Green card , the others are all shown.
