Barclays 60K Spending Offer

Barclays 60K Spending Offer: Check Your Email For The Targeted Offer

This week has been one of the crazier ones I can remember. Chase launched 75K offers on their no fee Ink cards and then Amex released huge offers on the Amex Platinum card…even getting up to 125K.  Just remember do not use our (or anyone’s) affiliate links for that offer.  And now Barclays has gotten into the crazy news game by launching 60K spending offers to targeted cardholders.  This is like getting an awesome welcome offer but for a card you already have.

Barclays 60K Spending Offer

Details

MtM Diamond Lounge member Kevin received this offer on on his Aviator Red card:

  • Earn an additional 10X miles per dollar on $1K in spend from November 10th till January 31st.
  • Earn 50,000 miles after spending $3000 by January 31, 2021.
  • You can earn a maximum of 60,000 miles.
The offer is going out for these cards as well:
  • Jet Blue Plus
  • Wyndham Rewards
  • Uber (Earn $500 Uber cash instead of miles or points)
  • Barclays Arrival+
  • Choice Privileges

Some people are being targeted for the 10X on $1K in spending offer as well but without the additional 50K offer.

Barclays 60K Spending Offer – Final Thoughts

I love spending offers since they are like getting another welcome offer without the hard pull or new account. These are probably the best spending offers I have seen.  The Amex 12X Hilton offer could have been that but they decided to clawback most of them.

Did any of you get this offer?  Let me know in the comments.  I did not get it on my new Choice Privileges card but I am assuming that is because I got it just a few months back.

  1. I had put off making a retention call on my Aviator Red for a couple of weeks and called on Friday afternoon. I didn’t want to cancel the card, since we had already cancelled my DH’s Aviator Red back in August, and I wanted a card that worked with a pin in unmanned kiosks. I was just looking for a spend bonus. The rep saw no retention offers, and as we were still chatting, she mentioned she could give me the 60K offer which had apparently started 3 days earlier. I took notes since she said there was nothing she could send me to confirm the terms. However. later Friday night I got the email from Barclays. Super happy with this offer (esp. since DH has big dental expense coming up and I don’t have to switch any of my other bonus spend).

  2. My hubby didn’t get the offer via email because he opted out of their marketing but I asked him to call Barclay since he has the aviator card and they activated the 60k deal for him on the phone! Nice!

  3. My husband got the 10x offer on his JetBlue, which he opened this yr and has never used. I did NOT get the offer on my 5yr old JetBlue card.

  4. Got in on Barclays no-fee Arrival. I downgraded from Arrival+ 2 years ago and it’s sat in a drawer since then. Definitely worth spending 3k for 63k points for a 21% return.

  5. Got the 60k offer on Jetblue card. I use the card maybe 1-2/year. Will pay auto & home insurance to get close to the $3k spend.

  6. I got one of the full offers on my Wyndham Rewards Visa from 2017. It’s good enough for me to switch to the Wyndham card for non-category spend for the next couple of months, but I don’t find it all THAT exciting. It’s just Wyndham points, after all, and they aren’t really worth all that much.

  7. Have a legacy Wyndham card which I actually can be prompted to use from time to time…. (if the promo is right) But haven’t seen a Wyndham promo anywhere in a longgggg time. Yet you indicate that it’s also going out to Wyndham card holders…. (any data points on that?) Will call. 🙂

    • From my call to Barclay’s, I learned that this new spending promo apparently is NOT going to existing Wyndham Credit Card holders, unless they have one of the very new Wyndham “earner” cards. (the cards aimed at those (unhappy suckers) who bought Wyndham timeshares)…. Rep. did check and kindly alerted me that an offer will be rolled out in mid to late January that will try to persuade me to switch to the Wyndham “earner” card…. (not likely)

Sour grapes at Barclays over leaving their long time Wyndham Rewards visa customers out in the cold on this promo. (I have the legacy version that earns the 15k points each year on renewal)
