MtM Vegas – Buffalo Bill’s Primm Tour 2023
Primm, Nevada is located just about 30 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip and has quite an interesting backstory. Originally home to a moonshiner named Pete, the area has grown over the years to include a giant mall and 3 casinos. Unfortunately it has withered on the vine over the years with Covid not helping a ton in that department.
The last casino built in Primm is called Buffalo Bill’s. It opened in 1994 with the idea of bringing family fun to a casino resort. At the time it featured a monorail connecting to the other casinos, a train ride, a record breaking roller coaster, log flume and even a movie theater. They eventually added a 6,500 seat arena in 1998 to round out their offerings as the hotel grew to 1,500 rooms. It did well until it did not.
Buffalo Bill’s closed during the casino shutdown in March, 2020 and remained closed through December 23, 2022. It did open for 3 concert weekends during that time, but never went to normal operations until now. My last pre-Covid visit came in the Summer of 1999 and the place had definitely seen better days. Now with the reopening the new management is promising a refreshed casino, renovated hotel and some of the luster that had long faded.
Take a tour with me of Buffalo Bill’s as it looks on reopening. They have a lot to do still, but the place looks better than it has in at least a decade. During the video I may even drop some hints at the future as well! Bottom line Buffalo Bill’s is unique and I am really happy to have it back on the Vegas casino landscape. Enjoy!

How’s cell service in Primm?
Decent. Just off I-15 and I always have a signal.
Came here in 1995 on a road trip from Texas to LA to Vegas to the GC to Albuquerque to Texas. This was the first time that I ever played Keno. I believe the reason we stopped was for the $5.95 Steak Dinner or something like that. We continued to stop on our visits on the way from LV to Laughlin just to check it out. Glad it see that it is rising from the ashes.
Lastly, I don’t think the tower is barn-themed as much as mine-themed. It almost looks like the old copper mine in Kennicott, AK.
Great video, thanks.
