Chase Mobile App Referrals

Chase has a decent referral program where you can earn valuable rewards for inviting your friends and family (or blog subscribers) to sign up for Chase Cards using your unique referral link or signing up through an email generated by Chase when you input a friends email to refer them. Up until recently, you had to go to their referral website and input your info and the last 4 digits of your card to see if your card was eligible for referral credit.

Chase Mobile App Referrals

Not exactly the easiest referral process, but things just got much easier! You can refer people straight from the app by logging into your account.

Details

Log into the chase app the way you normally would and next to each credit card account you’ll see 3 blue dots, click on those and if you see a “Refer Friends” option, congrats you’re eligible for a referral.

You can choose to send an email or “Invite Now.” If you choose “Invite Now” you’ll be able to choose how you would like to share the referral with your friend.

For example, you could choose text message and the text field will be populated with your unique referral link. You can also choose to save this link or share it one of the various forms of social media you have attached to your message function.

Analysis

If you’re lucky enough to have a friend who is eligible for a credit card and remembers to ask for a referral or accept your recommendation, you get an awesome value from programs like this. It’s like getting a mini sign-up bonus without having to spend a dollar, or really do anything for that matter. Not all the Chase cards have referral programs, but below is a list of the ones I’m aware of. Please feel free to comment if I missed one.

A few details to remember:

  • Friends must use your unique link to sign up (it’s not enough to send it to them). So if you’re referring someone who can be technologically challenged at times (sorry Grandpa!), I suggest offering to help them sign up or walking them through the process.
  • You can only refer friends to card you already have.
  • There is a maximum number of points you’re eligible to earn this way per card account.
  • Your bonus will appear on your statement as “Refer-A-Friend bonus.”

  1. You said the maximum referrals are per card account. With CURs, I was thinking you’re capped at 55,000 over all your cards. Is it per card or cumulative across cards?
