How to See Your US Airways Bonus Miles & How Long They Will Take to Post
As part of my last application round, my wife and I both got the US Airways Mastercard with its generous 50,000 mile sign-up bonus after 1st purchase and 10,000 bonus miles after the 1st year anniversary. (Thankfully this card doesn’t have a high spending threshold like some of the other cards I got.)
Unlike with American Airlines miles which post on the same day that the statement prints, US Airways miles earned from their co-branded credit card take awhile to make their way to your account.
How to See If You Earned the Miles
If your US Airways statement has printed and the miles have not yet posted, there is an easy way to see if you have earned the bonus. Simply open up the statement and look for the area as shown above. As you can see I earned 1 mile for a $1 purchase and 50,000 miles from the bonus.
How Long Does It Take for the Miles to Post?
The statement on which I earned the bonus printed on January 12, 2014 and the miles just posted today. In my case it took exactly 14 days for the miles to post to my Dividend Miles account from the Barclay’s US Airways World Mastercard.
Conclusion
While some people may be used to miles posting instantly, it just doesn’t happen with US Airways. Fortunately it is fairly easy to make sure you got the bonus and it only takes two weeks for the miles to post.
Has anyone been able to get the miles expedited to book an award? Let me know in the comments.

Shawn,
I applied for the card Oct of 2013, can I apply for it without cancelling the one I have now? Have only 1 Barclay card right now. Thanks!
Barclay’s official policy is one card per person, however their system doesn’t prevent it. If you are automatically approved then everything will go fine. If your application goes to manual review then chances are it will be denied. Here is a great article with tips for ensuring the greatest chance of success.

I got my first USAirways card in August 2014, and got a 40K bonus. As they bumped it up to 50K, I took the chance and applied in mid- December 2014, and got the instant approval. The 50K bonus miles on the 2nd card posted yesterday. My purchase on the 2nd card was made around 12/20, and I paid the annual fee in early January when it showed up as due. So it took about about 3 weeks to post after paying my annual fee. It does seem like it took longer this time around, than when I earned it for the first card.
Applied for and was approved for the 40,000 mile offer in October. Three days later got a mail offer for 50,000 miles. Multiple emails and several lengthy phone calls later, and after being required to fax the mail offer back to the folks who sent me the mail offer in the first place, the remainder of the miles posted this week, roughly 100 days later. Very strange bank.
Yes Barclay’s doesn’t work quite the same way as other banks. Glad you finally got the extra miles!
I got the card in early December. First statement closed before the annual fee finally posted. I got the points 2 days after the second statement closed.
