260K Amex Business Platinum Offer

260K Amex Business Platinum Offer

It seems like every day American Express is coming out with some new once in a lifte time type of offer. Watch, as soon as I am done writing this there will probably be a 300,000 Membership Rewards offer out there I bet. The latest hotness, at least for the time being, is the 260K Amex Business Platinum offer. This is an offer that you can get by calling in, as well as the 180K Amex Business Gold offer. Not everyone will be targeted, but enough people have that I think you have a decent chance of getting it. The tricky thing is Amex may try to pull a rope a dope on you first. I’ll share that plus the offer terms of the 260K offer. Let’s go!

260K Amex Business Platinum Offer Rope A Dope

My buddy Randy called in to check on offers for his account the other day. He wanted to try to snag the 260K Amex Business Platinum offer. He was surprised to hear there was another option for the Biz Platinum though:

  • Earn 170,000 Membership Rewards (MR) after spending $15,000 within the first 3 months.
  • Earn an additional 10,000 MR points after adding an authorized user (AU) and spending $1,000 within the first 3 months.
  • $695 annual fee not waived

This offer was news to him, to me as well. It is actually a pretty good offer too. However, if you are in a two player system then doing a referral offer between each other may be better. That is if you can get a 150K offer so show up plus the referral points. This is slightly better than the no lifetime language offers floating around for 150K plus 10K for adding an AU.

A lot of people would have thought this was it and taken the offer, but not my boy Randy. He said I have heard about this better 260K offer, is there anything else on my account? That is when the rep raised the white flag and gave up the better offer he was looking for. This is just another reminder to ALWAYS ask if there is anything else available to you if you don’t get what you are looking for the first time.

Randy took some screen shots of the offer so we could look them over. I didn’t see any lifetime language terms but be sure to check your own offer before signing up and take screen shots.

terms Final Thoughts

I know quite a few people are going to try to snag this massive 260K Amex Business Platinum offer so I figured I would throw out the quick PSA. Be sure you avoid the American Express rope a dope when you call in! Always ask for more if you don’t hear what you are looking for right away.  Some may actually prefer the 170K plus 10K offer though since it comes with a lower spending limit. If it works better for you then you may want to ask about it when calling in.

Either way you are going to want to read the terms before applying. From what I have heard, and after reading the terms of this offer, it appears they should all be no lifetime language offers.

  1. The photos in this post are not showing up on my browser. Is that something you can fix or is that on my end?

  2. I have 3 business platinum cards with Amex as well as 3 other business cards. I’m greedy enough to want the 260K offer but I’m edgy about inviting eyes on my account. Any thoughts?
