American Express Amazon Business Prime Card Spending Offer
I received an interesting offer from American Express for my Amazon Business Prime card. I signed up for this card around the holidays since I was tired of sourcing Amazon gift cards for my purchases and it had an increased $150 offer. With the death of purchasing Amazon gift cards online, besides this one option, it was getting to be too much of a pain. So now I can get 5% back whenever I make a purchase and don’t have a gift card or balance on my account.
Details of the Offer
Here are details of the offer:
Earn a $100 statement credit after you enroll your Card and use it to make $3,000 in total eligible purchases.
Eligible purchases for this offer do not include purchases made at Amazon.com or other designated Amazon properties.
My Thoughts
Getting $100 off of the next $3000 in spend is like getting 4.3% back on all of my purchases (including the 1% I normally earn). The card does earn 2% back at restaurants and gas stations so that would be like 5.4% back there. I may need to use this for that awesome Speedway promo going on right now. Either way it is a solid return on my spending. I think they are trying to get people to use their Amazon card outside of just on Amazon. It isn’t a bad plan and I will take the easy money.
Did anyone else get the offer?

I’ve been waiting to see if they will make this card more interesting. I already have the store card and Chase Prime card, both offer 5% off all the time (Whole Foods as well). Earlier this year they offered 10% back on utility bills & insurance, maybe AMEX could match that??

If you have the personal Amazon card then I doubt this will ever be worthwhile to get.
