Amex Has Lost Cabin Pressure, I Have 7 No Lifetime Offers Right Now…7!

I am currently under the Amex pop up lockdown right now, and so is my wife.  Well kind of because Amex just keeps throwing no lifetime language offers at us like they are candy.  And these “expand your membership” offers work themselves right around that stingy pop up. One of my cards, the Amex Business Green card, has 3 offers on it alone!  This is pure insanity.  I have 2 separate offers for a Business Gold card that came weeks apart. It feels like every morning I wake up to a new no lifetime language offer and I know others are getting a ton of them too.

They do seem to be exclusively for business card offers so the Amex Business department must be well below their growth numbers or something.  It is the only explanation that makes sense. The really crazy thing is that I could theoretically take advantage of every single one of them.  Let’s take a look at this madness.

Current No Lifetime Language Offers On Our Accounts

Here are a list of my current offers and where they came from:

No Lifetime Language Offers

Amex Business Gold

Earn 90,000 Membership Rewards after spending $10,000 within the first 3 months of card membership.
  • This is an expand your membership offer from my wife’s Blue Business Plus card. It came via email.
  • I also got it once on my Green Business card via email.
Earn 80,000 Membership Rewards after spending $10,000 within the first 3 months of card membership.
  • Weirdly enough this offer came on the Green Business card a few weeks back via email as well.

No Lifetime Language Offers

Blue Business Plus

Earn 50,000 Membership Rewards points after spending $15,000 within the first 12 months of card membership.
  • This came via email for my Business Green card.  It was actually a combo email with the Blue Business Cash. They have also sent me this offer twice via regular USPS mail too over the past month.

cash

Blue Business Cash

Earn $500 after spending $15,000 within the first 12 months of card membership.
  • A part of the combo email with the Blue Business Plus offer.

plat

Amex Business Platinum

Earn 100,000 Membership Rewards points after spending $15,000 within the first 3 months of card membership.
  • This was emailed to me attached to my Gold Business card.
Earn 150,000 Membership Rewards points after spending $15,000 within the first 3 months of card membership.
  • My wife had this offer emailed to her on her Blue Business Plus.

Why I Think I Could Activate Every Single Offer

The history of these type of offers from Amex have been that they supersede all of their regular rules.  Be sure to check the terms that there is no lifetime language when you go to apply. If the offer is void of the lifetime language then these offers allow you to get the bonus even if you currently carry the card or if you have had it in the past.  Got the pop up, no problem! These work on that too.

No Lifetime Language Offers

For further proof on why I think I can grab every single one of these offers. This is what I get when I click through the Blue Business Plus offer, which I took already:

But this is what I see when clicking through the Blue Business Cash offer in the same email:

No Lifetime Language Offers

So I could easily grab both, and plan to do just that since the offer on the Blue Business Cash doesn’t end until 12/31/21.

Final Thoughts

The Amex Business team must have a new card target in mind and they are doing whatever it takes to get there. That means tons of Membership Rewards and cash back welcome offers for us!

  1. My offer on blue biz plus for a new biz gold card takes me to page that asks me to log in to get pre-filled application. Log in and it just takes me right back to same page. Tried in two different browsers and then incognito windows in both browsers

    • I have heard of people having that issues sometimes over the last few months. Not sure what is causing it 🙁

  2. How is everyone completing such high levels of spend? Simon Mall is a no go with Amex, VGCs at Staples are also a no go too (since Staples shares level 3 purchase data with Amex), etc. I would go for one of these, but I can’t complete $10K organically in just 3 months and don’t have taxes or other major expenses coming up.

  3. I’m really torn on whether I should take the offer for the third business platinum card offer. Like the second, it’s the 150K for 15K spend. The usual greed vs. fear thing.

    • I know people with more than 3 😉 so I think you will be fine but of course can’t guarantee anything

  4. Mark could you remind us of what you currently have opted into/your settings that is allowing you to be getting targeted for all of these

  5. How does this affect the number of cards rule for the non-charge cards? Do these allow one to bypass the limit of 5 cards? Thanks!

  6. I have the 150K points for 15K in spending offer for business platinum – took that one. I have one that expires September 15 for business gold 90K points for 10K in spending. I’m going to take that one too once I’ve completed the first one. Hopefully there are more on the way.
