Coomer Family of Four
The other day I wrote a little bit about my thoughts on family travel and parenthood in the anticipation of the birth of my daughter. Thankfully I can report that she was born healthy and happy last night (3/23/14) at 9:44pm Pacific time. Both mommy and baby are doing very well.
For those that don’t know, Miles to Memories actually is an evolution of Family ‘Round the World, the blog documenting our 17 month around the world trip with our son in 2007-2008. So while I don’t often write about family travel, it is an important topic to me and one I know quite a lot about.
The internet is a very strange place and thousands of people I have never met read this website everyday. So while I recognize you probably don’t care about the birth of my daughter and probably just want to learn about the next deal or MS technique, this is my site so I get to post about my joys as well! ð
So in the vein of sharing joy, I wanted to write this post to announce the birth of my daughter, but I promise I won’t be posting about it again. With that said, my experiences traveling with an infant will no doubt make their way into this blog alongside its normal credit card and travel hacking related posts.

Congrats Dad 2.0! I’m sure you’re both exhausted and elated. My wife and I had our first -a girl- on our wedding anniversary last year. She’s almost 10 months old now.
I personally enjoy the fact that your background is family oriented. While I know you cover all relevant deals, it’s reassuring you have a personal affinity towards deals that the family can enjoy. As one shoe doesn’t fit all, neither does one’s deal hunting/MSing goals!
Btw, that RB card will come in handy the next time Target has diapers on sale ð I remember last year I stocked up on 16 boxes that I bought at really low prices (target store pickup). Their Up & Up brand has been really good too if you’re looking to save money ð

I think having a baby is an amazing and life changing event and you should share when you want! Family travel is what you do. We’re expecting our third this June.
