Barclaycard JetBlue Plus Best Bonus Offer

JetBlue is one of my favorite domestic carriers with decent entertainment offerings, free WiFi, great service and better legroom than most. If they serve your city then they can often be among the cheapest and certainly best options out there.

Awhile back Barclaycard took over the JetBlue contract and launched two new credit cards. Up until now the bonus on the Barclaycard JetBlue Plus card has been 30K points, but a new offer has surfaced that is 25% better. Let’s take a look.

Earn 40,000 points after $1K spend during the first 3 months. $99 annual fee.

Barclaycard JetBlue Plus Best Bonus Offer

Analysis

JetBlue points have a variable value with a floor of about 1 cent per point and a maximum of close to 2 cents per point, but the average redemption rate for the vast majority of flights is 1.4 cents each. That means I would value this bonus at about $560 (minus $99 annual fee), but for some the value will be higher. I see this card as a great option for JetBlue flyers, especially those who regularly top off their balance with purchases from Amazon.

Conclusion

In my opinion the Barclaycard Arrival Plus offer is a better overall deal (more info) from the bank unless you have a specific use for the TrueBlue points and/or you are a regular JetBlue flyer. Either way this is the best we have seen on this card and given Barclaycard’s lack of a “once per lifetime” restriction, it may be worth jumping on for some.
