Las Vegas Strip Tour July 2020

It’s a question I get quite often. What is Las Vegas like right now? Many people are simply not able to come visit right now while others prefer to stay home in order to avoid crowds. I totally understand that and also understand the fascination with the current state of Sin City.

My hometown doesn’t look or feel like it has over my nearly 40 years of visiting and living here. Admittedly Vegas doesn’t look or feel anything like it did when I was growing up in the 1980’s either (outside of Circus Circus) but I digress. The truth is the Las Vegas that you knew from before is here, but it’s different.

We ran into some police drama at the Flamingo. Check out the video below for the Vegas Strip full tour!

Living with a mask in public places has been something I think most Americans have adapted to. I certainly don’t mind wearing one, but it’s clear from my visits to the Strip that many people would prefer not to. With masks now being required in public spaces plus enforcement being stepped up, things have changed quite a bit even since I stayed at Caesars Palace on reopening night.

Central Las Vegas Strip Tour – July 2020

Over the past week I have published three videos from the Las Vegas Strip. This video covers Venetian, Casino Royale (White Castle), Harrah’s, Linq, Linq Promenade, Flamingo and the depressingly abandoned Cromwell. As you can see we ran into some drama, but it was a fun Sunday afternoon walking the Center Las Vegas Strip.

North Vegas Strip Tour

If you are more into the North end of the Strip, then I have a quick tour of the recently renovated SAHARA Las Vegas plus the Wynn Las Vegas. Despite Wynn calling us fraudsters and then apologizing, I still really do like their properties.

Other Vegas Videos

If you are looking for even more Vegas then we have you covered. We have a complete tour of Circus Circus including Adventuredome’s opening moments, a detailed look at the Bellagio Conservatory’s stunning new Japanese themed display with Hello Kitty and even a look at Caesars Palace on reopening night after the COVID closure.

  1. I’m tempted to go to Vegas for a few nights as being home for four months is getting annoying. I don’t mind wearing a mask so I’m more worried about those who don’t want to. I thought about going to Cosmo so I can take advantage of the balcony but I heard not many people were wearing masks in the evening. So, I’m thinking it might be best to go to Wynn or wait until Vdara opens… decisions decisions…

    • The state has been cracking down on businesses the past few days so I expect the casino compliance with masks will be pretty close to 100%. Of course outside it is different and wherever it is crowded it gets hard to avoid people. I’m glad it is getting better though. It’s night and day compared to when the casinos first reopened and maybe 10% of people were in masks.
