10 Countries Americans Can Visit & Become Instant Millionaires
If you’re looking for a cheap way to retire or even just to grow your nest egg, here are 10 countries where Americans can become instant millionaires. Through some simple math and smart investing, you can grow your net worth overnight. It sounds too good to be true, but you can easily become a millionaire. Follow along for my investment and retirement plan.
The 10 Countries I Recommend
Here are the 10 countries I recommend. Sure, there could be other countries, but some are unstable or have currencies likely to change (drastically) in value.
- Indonesia
- Laos
- Vietnam
- Hungary
- India
- Iran
- Venezuela
- Uzbekistan
- Sierra Leone
- Paraguay
I tried to pick countries in a range of geographic settings, so there should be something for everyone.
How The Plan Works
Due to the dollar being strong in many countries right now, the math is in our favor. Essentially, you exchange money in your favor. Make sure to look up the local tax laws, but you can withdraw at a local ATM or wire the money to yourself for pickup. Prepare to live large, because you’ll be a millionaire in any of the countries.
Here’s an example:
If I send $3,300 US to Hungary, I’ll have over a million Hungarian Forint. Instant millionaire.
Now, I just travel home (probably in first class, because why not?!) and convert my money back to US Dollars. Now that you’re a millionaire, where do you want to live? And how do you want to live? The sky’s the limit.
With some smart exchange work and a bit of travel to move the money, you can easily become a millionaire. Then, just bring the money back home. Or you can stay in the other country, if you decide you like it. If you decided to stay abroad, here are some countries where the US Dollar goes furthest right now.
Final Thoughts
I’m really glad a friend of mine turned me onto this. It’s not for everyone, obviously. Some people want to stay in the US. Maybe it’s too much work going to another country and worrying about hiding millions of dollars in your suitcase while flying home. And check the export laws of that country, obviously. Flying with millions of dollars worth of money (whether you’ve still got it in local currency or already converted it to your $1 million in US Dollars) might need special paperwork for your flight. And you should probably watch out for anyone touching your suitcase, since you don’t want to lose this money. However, this is a very simple plan that can help you achieve financial independence.
Anyone else planning to become a millionaire this way? Here’s to a great retirement!

I’m well aware of the joke. After reading the so called funny April 1 jokes all day, this was the least funny. Just my 2 cents. Next year, run it through me. Looks like the others weren’t in on the joke.
One more click bait (I should know better), and I’m out.
Or just a lighthearted April Fool’s day post that highlights the fun of getting millions of a currency. Also not clickbait because it is true. 🙂 Have a good one.
What a waste of my time reading this ridiculous story!!!
It was an April Fool’s post 🙂
Venezuela is stable – Are you sure Rip Van Winkle?
We will all be millionaires in the USA the way congress and joe are printing money!!
Robert – perhaps you missed this being an April Fool’s post 🙂
Iran definitely the best choice in the recommended list. Get those rials for real and then – profit!
Budapest is quite nice with modern amenities, lots of history, great tourist infrastructure, and low prices by US standards. Tough language to learn but a local told me that 5 years of English was required in school, which would explain why English was so widely understood by anyone below 50.
This is the most ridiculous story I ever wasted time to read and respond to. I f’ing hate 4/1.
What could go wrong?
