A Few Interesting Items of Note
Good afternoon. I hope your Thursday is going well. The photo above was taken in Santa Barbara, CA over the summer It is so beautiful there.
Anyway, through the course of the day I accumulated a few things worth sharing, so I thought I would throw them together for you.
Targeted Bluebird Offer
Some users over at Slickdeals have received targeted spending offers for their Bluebird card. A few have reported getting an offer for $25 cash back after making two purchases of $75 or more. Other have received an offer paying $15 back.
Head over to Slickdeals for the fine print and other offer details and don’t forget to check your email!
Top Cashback Targeted Offer
Top Cashback is offering a 5% holiday bonus for using their portal. Members who purchase at least one item through the portal in October, November & December will have their overall earnings for those three months boosted by 5%.
I do believe this is targeted since the email said it is for “selected members”. According to what I received, you do not need to opt-in if targeted. Here is a full FAQ. My purchase from their eBay deal earlier this month qualified me for October!
American Airlines Profits
American Airlines reported an 87% increase in net income with a 3rd quarter overall profit of $942 million. The company benefited tremendously from a decrease in fuel prices.
American Airlines CEO Doug Parker also said in a statement that he expects record profits for the 4th quarter and the year overall. Reuters has an in-depth look.
Sears Gift Cards
Gift Card Mall is still selling Sears gift cards at a discount through eBay. $200 cards are selling for $180 and $100 cards for $90. As I mentioned last week you may be able to use these cards to buy gift cards at Sears.
If you are interested in saving even more, you may be able to earn an additional 1.5% cash back by using a portal. Right now Top Cashback is paying the most at 1.5%. (Will work nicely with the targeted offer above.)
Free Redbox Movie (Or Discounted)
Redbox is offering $1.20 off of a movie rental today only. $1.20 is the price of a regular DVD in most markets, so DVD rentals should be free. If you decide to get a Bluray or game, they deduct $1.20 from the rental cost.
To get the discount simply use the code: UNM8BB66 (Tip: Don’t forget to follow me on Twitter. I tweet out deals that don’t always make it to the blog before they expire!)
That is it for this afternoon. Hopefully one or more of these items is interesting and/or will save you some money!
