You Can Now Transfer Citi ThankYou Points to Wyndham Rewards
In a surprise move with no announcement from Citi, you can now transfer your ThankYou Points to Wyndham Rewards. This makes Wyndham the second new hotel transfer partner from ThankYou Rewards, after adding Choice hotels earlier this month.
Details on Citi ThankYou Points Transfers to Wyndham Rewards
Transfers are 1:1 from Citi ThankYou Points to Wyndham Rewards on these credit cards:
- Citi Prestige Card
- Citi Premier Card
Transfers are 1:0.8 using the following credit cards:
- Citi ThankYou Preferred Card
- Citi Rewards+ Card
- Citi Double Cash Card
The easy way to remember this is that you need a card with an annual fee to get the 1:1 transfer ratio.
Remember that you can convert cash back rewards from the Double Cash Card into ThankYou Points. Then, those Citi ThankYou Points become eligible to transfer to partners like Wyndham Rewards. See our guide here for how to convert Citi cash back to points. For how to transfer Citi ThankYou Points to travel partners, see our step-by-step guide here.
Final Thoughts
It’s not often that bank rewards programs add new transfer partners without an announcement, but that’s exactly what happened this week with Citi ThankYou Rewards. Our Facebook group had alerts and questions of “is this new?” from people who noticed this in their ThankYou Rewards portals over the past few days. More options for using your points is always a great thing. This expands Citi’s list of transfer partners to include 16 airline and 2 hotel programs. Both of those hotel programs were added within the past month. For full details on the Citi ThankYou Rewards program, read our guide here.
What do you think? Think this is a valuable transfer partner? Will you be using it?
