United Travel Bank Is Back Up & Running Again

Just a quick update / PSA post about United Travel Bank. I alerted you a few days back that the site had just gone dark. This was a thorn in the side for any procrastinators out there since it went dark in the final days of 2021. We had hoped that it would come back soon at some point this year but I didn’t expect it this quickly. We started seeing reports in our Diamond Group this afternoon, while we were recording the podcast funny enough, and have seen more and more since then that the Travel Bank is back open for business. So if that is your go to Amex airline incidental avenue get after it since you don’t know if it will vanish again in the near future.

Update 1/11/22: We have had multiple reports in our Facebook Group of credits posting from travel bank loads. Anyone that was waiting for positive data points should be good to go.

Disclosure: Miles to Memories has partnered with CardRatings for our coverage of credit card products. Miles to Memories and CardRatings may receive a commission from card issuers.

  1. Purchased 2 $100 travel credits 12/30 with the Platinum card and my $100 credits posted 1/2/22. Each purchase also earned 5x in rewards.

  2. I wonder if they shut it down for recoding – will wait for data points before jumping in on it. If it no longer gets reimbursed will have to change my airline/strategy.
