Final Thoughts

Remember that all points transfers are final–whether that’s to another person or to a loyalty program–so don’t send points out of your ThankYou.com account until you’re sure. Citi ThankYou Points transfer times can vary a lot. If you’re dealing with a slower transfer time, try to put the award flights on hold so they don’t disappear while waiting for points to show up.

Final tip: you usually need to log out and then log back in to see the points after sending them to your airline or hotel account.

    • Common, unfortunately–especially if it’s your first time transferring to them. It should get down around 18 hours after you’ve done a few transfers to them.
